Branch line to Deptford Docks

I can't resist one more detail from the maps at Victoria Station: this section showing the area around Deptford, including the now-lost branches serving the docks.

The line itself may be lost, but you still go 'over' it on the old railway bridge as you drive along Evelyn Street.

I think the bridge you go over is the Surrey Canal. The railway went over the road, and its crossing site can be identified by the embankment leading to it on the north side.

yes, the bridge is east of deptford park - here the railway is shown west of it

The railway lines embankment to the Thames can be seen across from the junction of Alloa Road / Evelyn Street i.e. it ran parallel to Alloa Road.

While the 2 houses on Trundley's Road that were built on the line can be easily found.
