At the Temple of Heaven all lintels have the same decoration and mythical birds rather than dragons are painted between the zigzagging lines. In the Forbidden City though, the central lintel (on the right on your photo) is slightly longer than the others and incorporates at both ends, between vertical straight lines, a 'cartouche' with a dragon.Sebastien Ardouinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07200799076446099559noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3287675141745937676.post-29170349917752523372011-05-06T11:05:33.504+01:002011-05-06T11:05:33.504+01:00I had a really good time - and that's almost 3...I had a really good time - and that's almost 3/3! If I were to hazard a guess about the photos, I'd say (1) one of the side pavilions at the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, (2) on the Li River between Guilin and Yangshuo in Guangxi, and (3) Shanghai.
Wonderful memories!Sebastien Ardouinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07200799076446099559noreply@blogger.com
