I’ve lived in London since 1993, and quickly fell in love with the city – especially after moving to Deptford. There are so many stories, places and events to discover here: this blog is a place to record and share some of them.
Of course, much as I love London, I do leave the city now and then, lockdown permitting! Other places appear from time to time, especially Brittany which I’m lucky enough to visit regularly. Although very different to London, it does have some common features: not just a rich history, but also a fine selection of ghost signs. These old painted advertisements form an ongoing series on this blog (other series have included the stories behind the Postman’s Park memorial plaques).
