Just a quick mention that the London Encyclopaedia is currently on offer at The Book People for £12.99 (usual price £50). It's one of my favourite London books, a comprehensive collecton of information on all aspects of the city's history.
i'm guessing this isn't the 2008 version, which apparently fixes a few errors from previous versions... as they don't ship to the states, i guess i'll just have to purchase a copy when next i visit... it looks like a wonderful addition to my library :)

It is the new edition - but what a shame they don't ship to the States!
