DEPTFORD - LONDON - BRITTANY - RANDOM BITS OF HISTORY
You'll find this little dragon just inside the main entrance of Lincoln's Inn.
Lincoln's Inn... Umm I was looking around Temple. Close but not close enough.https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5673839https://tflrealproper.files.wordpress.com/2014/10/lincolns-inn-main-entrance.jpgWhy the fleur de lys on top of the "stick" ?
Could the fleur de lys be a symbol of the City company of Tylers and Bricklayers, on whose coat of arms it appears? Before the rebuilding occasioned by the Great Fire of 1666 they had a monopoly on bricklaying in the City.
...or the fleur de lys represents the City of Lincoln? And is it in fact a Lion dressed up as a little dragon? Who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
